Leslie was born and raised in Vista, CA on an egg farming ranch, where she learned the value of hard work from a young age. Growing up surrounded by animals and the daily demands of farm life, she developed a strong work ethic and a deep sense of responsibility. The ranch taught her the importance of consistency, dedication, and the hands-on care required to keep things running smoothly. Her deep love for animals grew with every passing year on her family’s ranch.

Leslie’s longest career chapter began when she became a school bus driver for the Vista Unified School District. For over 40 years, she drove children to school and back, becoming a familiar and comforting presence in their lives. Leslie’s warmth, reliability, and ability to connect with kids made her a beloved figure in the community. Her commitment to safety and her gentle nature earned her the respect of both students and parents alike.

Now, in the next exciting chapter of her life, Leslie has joined forces with her daughter, Angela, to team-up with running Oh Happy Dog! With a lifelong love for animals, Leslie’s transition into this role has felt like a natural step. Her caring nature, paired with years of experience in responsible, hands-on work, makes her the perfect person to care for pets in her community. Leslie is excited to share her love for animals while continuing to build meaningful relationships with those around her.
